Time
There is nothing he has not seen.
If human, the oldest thats been.
We have given him many names,
Called him the judge in many games.
We have seen him crawl, walk and dash,
Fact is, his pace is never rash.
Most say that he will tell the truth,
Or eat away a missing tooth.
He robs the young of moments gold,
Left tracks on face of the old.
We paint his potrait on a clock,
And to Dorian Gray, they both mock.
Lovers pledge in his name and life,
Just like the vows of man and wife
But our friend here travels alone,
And never can we hear him moan.
There is nothing he has not seen.
If human, the oldest thats been.
We have given him many names,
Called him the judge in many games.
We have seen him crawl, walk and dash,
Fact is, his pace is never rash.
Most say that he will tell the truth,
Or eat away a missing tooth.
He robs the young of moments gold,
Left tracks on face of the old.
We paint his potrait on a clock,
And to Dorian Gray, they both mock.
Lovers pledge in his name and life,
Just like the vows of man and wife
But our friend here travels alone,
And never can we hear him moan.
