Brothers in arms
The army made us men. the war heroes.
Given a mere medal for entering german gallows.
We may win the war, but lose millions,
As the land fills with blood by gallons.

Concieved into war by a plane that crashed,
For intruding, Motars, the germans lashed.
Just for surviving i was promoted.
So what? Half my squad got decimated.

Doubled as husbands, tripled as fathers.
Some never did say goodbye to mothers.
In families, a father they now lack,
Some lament the white should'nt moan the black.

As my comrades fall and die,
I sometimes can't help but cry.
But no matter how we fall to german fire arms,
We may die, but lived as brothers in arms.
